I'm going on a trip to Vietnam this Saturday. This will be my first time going outside of the United States. I haven't even been to TJ! My dad, my sister, and I will be touring the country for two weeks, visting my dad's old hood as well as places that my dad has never visited before. It will be an emotion trip because my father hasn't been back there for almost thiry years. Can you imagine leaving the U.S. now and not coming back for that long?

Since I've never been on an international trip, I was wondering if you all might help me out. How am I supposed to pack for this trip? I'm used to traveling to Chicago, in which case I pack half-assed on the assumption that whatever I need I can get there. Vietnam is a little different. Especially for those who have visited Asian countries, what should I pack?
